When Sergeant Mark Stoddard joined the Bryan Police Department, Ronald Reagan was president, "Ghostbusters" was tops at the box office and Michael Jackson's "Thriller" album was breaking records.

Twenty two years later, Stoddard is leaving Bryan P.D. to become an investigator for the state. Friday, his co-workers made sure he received a stylish send-off. Dozens of law officers stopped by police headquarters to wish Stoddard good luck.

During his tenure at Bryan, he earned several commendations including "Officer of the Year" and "Supervisor of the Year."
