COLLEGE STATION On October 29, 2013 at approximately 1220 hrs, an officer of the College Station Police Department met with a victim in regards to a report of a Sexual Assault. Upon speaking to the adult female victim, the officer was able to learn the following information.
The victim stated that earlier on that date, she had been at a residence in College Station with a person known to her. She stated that the suspect got angry with her and began to yell at her. She said that a short time later the suspect forced her to have non-consensual sexual relations with him. The victim stated that she pleaded with the suspect to stop, but he would not.
The victim met with detectives of the College Station Police Department and they learned that the same suspect had sexually assaulted the victim two days prior to this incident in a similar fashion.
Detectives were able to obtain a warrant for the arrest of the suspect on October 30, 2013 and at approximately 1830 hrs they were able to locate and take him into custody. Arrested was:
Luis Manuel Gallegos
35 years old
College Station, TX
As part of the on-going investigation, detectives executed a search warrant at Gallegos’ residence in the 900 blk of Navarro in College Station. During the search, a quantity of marijuana and an illegal firearm was recovered. Gallegos has been charged with the following offenses:
Sexual Assault (2 counts)
Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
Possession of Marijuana 0-2 ounces
Investigation into this incident continues by the College Station Police Department Criminal Investigations Division and additional charges may be filed.
