Two people are dead and one was injured in unrelated accidents Saturday.

The first accident happened Saturday afternoon on Texas 21 west of Bryan.

Authorities say Sheree Renee Dunn, 49, of Bryan was eastbound on Highway 21 in the westbound lane.

An on-coming truck driver swerved to miss Dunn's car, but was unable to avoid the collision.

Dunn was pronounced dead at the scene. It's not known why she crossed the centerline.

The second accident happened Saturday morning in Milam County on F.M. 1600 between Cameron and Rockdale.

Authorities say Robert Lee Owens Jr. of Killeen ran off the road while going around a curve and flipped his car.

Neither Owens, 24, nor his passenger, Carolyn Harrison, 24, of Killeen, were wearing seatbelts, and both were ejected.

Owens was pronounced dead at the scene.

Harrison was lifeflighted to Scott and White Hospital in Temple. She's listed in critical condition.
