College Station -- Texas A&M head football Coach Mike Sherman said Friday afternoon that he does not expect running back Mike Goodson to be back for the 2009 season.

When asked if the reason was because he would declare early for the NFL draft Sherman said it was " a combination of things."

Sherman has been meeting with his players about the past season. He said he has not met with Goodson but there is a possibility he could.

The junior from Klein Collins started seven game in the 2008 season. He led the Aggies in rushing with 406 yards and five rushing touchdowns. Goodson also recorded 37 catches for 386 yards and three touchdowns.

For his career Goodson rushed for 1,964 yards and 13 touchdowns. He had 860 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns. His best rushing season was as a freshman when he ran for 847 yards.

The Aggies finished the 2008 season 4 and 8. Texas A&M will open the 2009 season September 5 against New Mexico at Kyle Field.

Thank god. His production has dropped every year (half this year of his freshman year) and he spent more time running east and west than north and south.

I wonder if Goodson can put together a sentence that makes sense, obviously you can't.Goodson made the wrong choice by going to an intramural flag football program. His Dad might still be in the slammer which is maybe one reason why he feels pressure to make the big bucks..if he were to make it.He also may be receiving this great advice from his Pops who was a real wheeler-dealer among other things.
