As Bryan searches for a new city manager, College Station has a number of vacancies in city staff of their own, three of which they are making big moves to fill.

According to city officials, they are very close to naming a finalist for economic development director, a position left vacant when Kim Foutz left for a new job in Temple There are four finalists being considered for that job:

-Stephen Filipowicz, Lancaster, TX
-David Gwin, Carrollton, TX
-Brian Hamilton, Montgomery County, VA
-Dennis Pruitt, Montgomery County, KS

College Station also has two openings for assistant city managers. A list of candidates for those positions could be finalized this week.

A second assistant city manager spot was recently created as part of staff restructuring. Glenn Brown was serving in the lone assistant city manager position before he was chosen to be city manager.
