The wait will soon be over at College Station ISD. Tuesday marked the last day of a mandatory waiting period concerning the superintendent's job.
Deputy Superintendent Eddie Coulson was recently named the lone finalist for the top spot at CSISD. But before the district couldn't officially offer him the job immediately because it has to be on the market for three weeks.
After Tuesday at midnight, the district can offer Colson the job. A meeting for that has not been set.
Former superintendent Jimmy Creel is on administrative leave, and will be on the pay roll through this month. He and the district worked out an exit agreement after the school board raised concerns about his leadership abilities. Creel served less than a year as superintendent following the departure of longtime superintendent Steve Johnson.
Coulson is in his tenth year with CSISD.
