Snow started Wednesday morning, took a break and started snowing mid afternoon in parts of the Brazos Valley.
Most folks in the areas awoke to snow, sleet and other frozen precipitation that had accumulated on the tops of hoods and cars, trucks and SUVs. It was a fine layer, but enough to build a snowman or two.
By Wednesday at mid day, the snow was all but melted away, but the white stuff returned to portions of the region around 3 p.m. as a small band of precipitation passed through the Twin Cities. By nightfall, more had come, and Bob French from the News 3 Weather Center warned of accumulations.
