The Coast Guard has recovered the bodies of a father and son who disappeared after they went fishing off Bolivar Peninsula.
A rescue boat found one of the bodies floating yesterday evening in the Intracoastal Waterway. Authorities say the body was found not far from where the pair embarked Tuesday night for a fishing trip.
The second body was recovered last night. The two had gone fishing on a 17-foot motorboat.
Authorities have not yet publicly identified the father and son. A family member reported them missing yesterday afternoon.
A Galveston County Sheriff's spokesman says it's not clear what happened to the fishermen but that it could have been a boating accident.
The boat was still missing as of last night.
