Quick moving thunderstorms moved through the Brazos Valley Thursday night causing power outages across the Brazos Valley. At one time, more than two thousand people were without electricity.
The evening storm brought with it high winds and hail. Some of the worst hit areas include the town of Shiro and Roans Prairie, both in southern Grimes County. Outages were also reported in Walker and Madison County.
According to representatives at Mid South Synergy, crews were immediately dispatched to repair downed lines. Officials say all power was restored by midnight Thursday.
