A three-vehicle accident on FM 2818 in northwest Bryan closed the road for several hours Friday afternoon and evening. It reopened around 9pm.
Two people were injured in the wreck, which happened around 2:45pm.
The three cars met at the intersection of 2818 and Sandy Point Road. According to initial reports, a blue Chevy Metro on Sandy Point pulled out in front of a southbound BTU truck and was T-boned.
The Metro, its female driver and passenger were sent flying into a ditch. Rachel Hood, 25, of Sunnyville was life-flighted to Temple, and was listed in critical condition Friday night. A 28-year-old female in that same vehicle was taken to St. Joseph, and was listed in stable condition Friday night.
The BTU truck careened into a Department of Corrections van sitting in a turn lane. Both people with BTU and four sergeants in the corrections truck were not injured.
