A driver who allegedly struck another car and fled ended up wrecking his own vehicle.
The alleged hit-and-runner was actually tailed by his victim Saturday morning to 28th Street in Bryan, where he ended up losing control and flying across train tracks and into a ditch. He then tried to run from the man whose car he had hit, but surrendered to authorities once they arrived.
The suspect suffered cuts and was taken for treatment. There was alcohol found in the vehicle. Authorities are investigating if there was any in his system at the time.
