Mother Nature forced airport officials in the Metroplex and here in the Brazos Valley to cancel some flights at both DFW International and Easterwood Airports, but by early afternoon flights were back on schedule.
Below freezing temperatures that caused ice to form in the Dallas area led to those cancellations.
The American Airlines flight that was scheduled to leave D-F-W at 12:15 Monday afternoon and land at Easterwood was canceled and that meant the flight scheduled to leave from Easterwood at 1:35 p.m. wasn't allowed to take off either.
Also in both Leon and Robertson counties, residents were alerted that there could have been some freezing rain during the early afternoon hours, but there were no reports of ice on any roadways.
