The trial of a teenager accused of being involved in a drive-by shooting started Tuesday in a Brazos County courtroom.
Opening statements were read and witness testimony will continue Wednesday.
Frankie Lee Bell is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
In 2005, Bell was arrested along with 19-year-old Roderick Turner.
Police say Bell opened fire and hit a 15-year-old in the leg.
The bullet narrowly missed another man, but lodged in the sole of his shoe.
In April, Roderick Turner was given 10 years probation.
Closing arguments are expected to take place Wednesday, then the case will go to the jury.
