Brazos County commissioners are fulfilling an agreement crafted by the Department of Justice regarding elections.
Back in June, the DOJ was concerned with the Brazos County voting system, saying Spanish speaking voters in Brazos County didn't have access to bilingual election workers during the last round of elections.
Per the county's agreement with the DOJ, commissioners appointed an advisory group to assist and inform the Spanish language election group.
The group has seven members and will meet once or twice a month between now and November.
The group will generate interest among Spanish voters, advise commissioners, and assist during elections.
