A former volunteer firefighter faces a charge of setting a fire in Atascosa County and is suspected of starting others over the past year.
Jesse Rios Junior was with the Primrose Volunteer Fire Department and the Somerset department. Investigators say he called 911 to report the blaze after starting it on February 10.
Rios, 31, was arrested this week by officials from the Bexar County Fire Marshal's Office.
Investigators say Rios told them he and other volunteers firefighters were involved in several fires starting in October 2005.
No one was injured and no buildings were destroyed.
If convicted, Rios faces up to 20 years in prison.
Investigators say more arrests could follow in the Atascosa cases.
