For the second Saturday in a row, Bryan City Council spent the morning interviewing city manager candidates.
This time, council interviewed former Auburn, Alabama, city manager David Watkins.
Watkins, who is also a candidate for one of two assistant city manager vacancies in College Station, was added as an 11th hour finalist earlier this week.
He says his management style is to give department heads creative license.
"Wherever I end up, I believe strongly in mentoring and also creating an environment where department heads feel comfortable in being creative and innovative and will take a risk to do something to make the town better," Watkins said.
Watkins is one of now four finalists for the Bryan city manager position.
Council hopes to have someone on the job by October.
