Third College Station Hotel Robbed in Two Months

For the third time in less than two months, a College Station hotel has been robbed at gunpoint.

Police say a black male, about six feet tall and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt robbed the Hampton Inn on Texas Avenue about 4:20 a.m., Saturday.

The suspect pulled a gun on an employee and got away with an undetermined amount of money.

Police are now trying to determine if it's the same person in one or both of the previous robberies.

Since July 4, three College Station hotels have been robbed at gunpoint.

Hawthorn Suites was first. Homewood Suites, just down the street on University Drive, was robbed July 21. And the Hampton Inn robbery is the third.
