Burleson County authorities are investigating the death of an Humble man who shot himself following a domestic dispute, according to the Burleson County Sheriff's Office.
Jimmy Wayne Garren, 42, got into an argument with a woman and threatened her with a shotgun at a home on County Road in Burleson County on Sunday, according to Sheriff's officials.
When officers arrived at the home, Garren fled in a Ford pickup truck.
When the vehicle chase ended near F.M. 50, officials said Garren refused to get out of his truck, and officers heard a gunshot from inside the truck.
The officers found Garren with a gunshot wound to his head, apparently from a 20-gauge shotgun, according to investigators.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Garren was wanted on a parole violation and aggravated assault charge out of Harris County.
