Dallas police child abuse detectives Wednesday were investigating the death of a 6-year-old boy.

A statement from Sr. Dallas police Cpl. Janice M. Crowther said says Dallas Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a call Tuesday and found the child unresponsive.

He was declared dead on arrival at Children's Medical Center Dallas.
