A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for Lee county through 5am Saturday. A few areas of rain and thunderstorms could still be possible through the overnight hours. While most of this should remain below severe levels, a few storms (if they can redevelop) could brings gusty winds, heavy rain, thunder, & lightning. Overall threat is diminishing through 3am.

Texas Task Force 1 has been demobilized by FEMA after their week-long deployment. The unit was never engaged in its week-long deployment, though director Bob McKee says their trip to Atlanta proved to be good practice for future emergencies.
Task Force 1 was activated Monday and sent to the southeast. That was when then-Hurricane Ernesto showed signs of inflicting more damage than it did.
The team is scheduled to arrive back in College Station Sunday.
