Hundreds March for Immigration Reform

Hundreds of people continue their push for immigration reform.

More than 700 people marched through downtown Houston Monday to a rally in front of City Hall.

About 500 braved the rain in downtown Dallas Monday to march from the Roman Catholic Cathedral de Guadalupe to a rally at City Hall.

Organizers say they weren't expecting to have the thousands of people that participated in rallies in Houston, Dallas and other cities across the country last spring.

But they simply wanted to remind federal lawmakers that they are still pushing for comprehensive immigration reform. That would include an opportunity for illegal immigrants to obtain legal residency and eventually citizenship.

The House and Senate have failed to resolve differences between immigration bills each has passed.
