McKinney police say Wednesday morning they've made an arrest in the July slaying of a real estate agent who was found stabbed to death in a model home.
Police arrested 25-year-old Kosoul Chanthakoummane late Tuesday night on a charge of capital murder for the death of Sarah Anne Walker.
Police Captain Randy Roland says Chanthakoummane was arrested at his Dallas apartment and is being held on one (m) million dollars bond.
A house-hunting couple found Walker's body July 8th in the kitchen of a model home in McKinney, about 30 miles north of Dallas. The 40-year-old agent had been stabbed 27 times in what investigators described as an unusually ferocious attack.
The slaying rattled real estate agents who work open houses alone and worried nearby residents living in the kind of new, extravagant homes Walker sold.
Roland says detective work, witness statements and forensic evidence led to the arrest.
