A College Station man is in Brazos County Jail, charged with breaking into a woman's apartment and trying to sexually assault her.
It happened just before 2 a.m., Sunday, in the 100 block of Holleman Drive at Sterling University Village Apartments.
Police say Daniel Estrello, 19, walked into a woman's apartment through an unlocked door and attempted to assault her.
The woman awoke during the attempted attack and called for help. Her roommate responded.
Police say Estrello, who also lives in the complex, fled the scene, but was eventually captured.
He's charged with burglary of a habitation, which is actually a first-degree felony because he's accused of another felony in the process.
Estrello was scheduled to see a judge on Monday.
