CS Woman Recognized in Business

A College Station woman is tops in the country when it comes to business.

Lina Lawson of College Station has been selected as one of the 2007 Top Ten Business Women of ABWA.

The annual award has been given by the American Business Women's Association since 1956.

Lawson, who is a member of the Leading Women Express Network and the Bryan/College Station Charter Chapter, has held offices including president, vice president, and treasurer.

Both a chapter and Express Network Woman of the Year, Lawson is the co-owner and senior graphic designer of Twinz Co. Graphic Design.

"The American Business Women's Association gave me the drive to want more out of my life," Lawson says. "Status quo is not an option as a member of this prestigious organization."

The winners of this year's Top Ten Business Women of ABWA were selected for their many career and philanthropic achievements, as well as for their ability to demonstrate how their involvement in the Association has contributed directly to significant career achievements.

As a Top Ten award winner, Lawson is now eligible for consideration as the 2007 American Business Woman of ABWA, an award that will be announced Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Association's 2006 National Women's Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California.
