A small oil spill in south Brazos County had crews rushing to the scene. It happened around 2:30pm Saturday at Navasota Ridge Road, just south of FM 159 off Highway 6.
Authorities say a BTU crew doing work in the area accidentally hit the small pipeline. Mostly salt water spilled out, but there was oil that came out. The valve was quickly shut down, and a temporary dam was build to prevent spread down a slope.
Cleaning materials were also brought out to clean up the area.
