Willie Nelson and several members of his band were issued misdemeanor citations for drug possession in Louisiana.
The traffic stop happened Monday on Interstate Ten near Breaux Bridge in Saint Martin Parish.
The Louisiana Highway Patrol says troopers smelled a strong odor of marijuana when the driver opened the door to Nelson's band bus.
Trooper Willie Williams says a search of the bus turned up about one-and-a-half pounds of marijuana and slightly more than three ounces of narcotic mushrooms
Misdemeanor drug citations were issued for the 73-year-old Nelson, of Spicewood, Texas, as well as for:
-- 75-year-old Bobbie Nelson of Briarcliff, Texas.
-- 59-year-old Tony Sizemore of Saint Cloud, Florida.
-- 54-year-old Gates Moore of Austin.
-- and 50-year-old David Anderson of Dallas.
All have been released.
