Hundreds of high school students geared up for another year of fundraising for the United Way Tuesday.
The United Way Youth Leadership Cabinet held its 7th annual Youth Leadership Day.
250 student leaders from A&M Consolidated and Bryan High School gathered to plan fundraisers for their individual campuses.
Money raised will be allocated to United Way agencies for special projects.
Last year, the Youth Leadership Cabinet donated $12,000 to 13 non profit agencies and programs, including 2-1-1 Texas, Boys and Girls Club, Brazos Valley Food Bank, Brazos Valley Rehab Center, Community of Promise's Youth Summit, Family Outreach, MHMR Authority of the Brazos Valley, Ready to Lead in Literacy, Scotty's House, Prenatal Clinic, Twin City Mission, Voices For Children, and Success By 6.
This year, the student's goal is $14,000.
