If built according to current plans, the new George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in Dallas, will be the size of a Walmart Supercenter.

Engineers for the Dallas project on the campus of Southern Methodist University toured the George H. W. Bush facility in College Station, last week.

The College Station library and museum are around 69,000 square ft. and hold 43 million pages of records.

Because George W. Bush served two terms, his library is expected to house around 85 million pages of records, similar to the number of records housed at the Clinton Library, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

An amendment to the Presidential Libraries Act limits presidential libraries to 70 thousand square ft. unless the building has a private endowment, said a Bush library employee Wednesday.

According to the employee, the amendment was passed during the Reagan administration; the Reagan library is 131,000 square ft.

Cost to maintain the libraries is assumed by the United States government.

Plans for the new Bush library in Dallas put the structure at over 200,000 square feet.

Right, it's all W's fault for everything wrong with the U.S. today. Get real people! He didn't just decide to go to war one day, it had to be voted on by other forms of government (i.e., other elected officials). And the economic policies...same thing there! Sure not all of his policies were the best for us U.S., but he did the best he could in a changing American society. Some people let their emotions get in the way of reasonable and logical thinking.

And William proves that as always, when Democrats know they have been shown up, they throw out the race card. It must be a sad existence to be so angry all the time you have to troll Internet sites to leave hate comments.
