WALKER COUNTY Investigators in Walker County have arrested a third and final suspect in connection with the murder of a 16-year-old boy at the Sam Houston National Forest.

Sheriff's deputies found Josael Guevara's body on Sept. 23 just off FM 2929. They also reportedly found one of the murder weapons - a machete.

"It was a very brutal crime scene. The victim, his body had been mutilated," said Cpt. Tim Whitecotton, Walker County Sheriff's Office.

The victim was a sophomore at Klein Forest High School in Houston.
Sheriff's deputies say he was also a member of the MS 13 gang, and so were his alleged attackers.

Investigators have arrested all three men they say are responsible for the murder.

Deputies say 17-year-old Jose Bonilla-Romero and 18-year-old Ricardo Lara were arrested in Houston. 22-year-old Cristian Zamora was arrested in Walker County.

"Harris County is a foothold for MS 13. A lot of times, what you might see is that some of their members try to move out to the more rural smaller areas to stay under the radar," said Cpt. Whitecotton.

Whitecotton says the MS 13 gang has bases across the U-S, primarily in major cities.

All three suspects are being held at the Walker County Jail on murder charges.
