On Monday, March 16, an armed thief robbed the convenience store in the 1800 block of Harvey Mitchell Parkway in College Station. A surveillance camera recorded the crime as it happened.

The video shows the male suspect as he enters the store and walk towards the counter. The suspect is then seen confronting a store employee and both are seen going behind the counter where the suspect retrieves the money. Both the suspect and the clerk walk to the front of the store where the suspect orders the clerk to lay down while he escapes from the building.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5'-07", weighing 190 pounds and had a young, high-pitched voice. He was wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up, blue jeans, and used a hockey mask to cover his face. The mask had red colored hair attached to it.

College Station detectives could not tell specifically from the video what type of weapon the suspect was carrying, but advised it appears to have had a wooden stock and the barrel appeared to be about 18-20 inches long.

If anyone has any information regarding the identity of the robber shown in this video, you are asked to call Brazos County Crime Stoppers at 775-TIPS. You do not give your name when you call Brazos County Crime Stoppers, you will be given a special coded number. The information you give will be shared with the appropriate law enforcement agency and if your information leads to an arrest or recovery in the case, you will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

We stopped this in Bryan up this street by putting in Bullet Proof grass and locking the employees up in it. At one time over a year ago we had one armed robbery a week with out any news reports.
