Police say an Iola woman selling sexual gratification online, crossed the line by failing to get a permit.
Irma Whitson, 33, was arrested Wednesday night for failure to obtain a sexually-oriented business permit.
College Station police say Whitson, going by the name "Jessica," was part of a group of women travelling the state conducting sexual services. Authorities say they advertised escort services and nude modeling on the internet posting sites Craigslist and Backpage.
An investigator, posing as a potential customer, contacted the number listed and was given a price of $200/hour. Police then arranged with management of the Hampton Inn, 320 Texas Avenue, to reserve a room for the meeting.
When Whitson arrived, she was arrested for not having a city permit to operate a sexually-oriented business, a Class A Misdemeanor. She was released after posting bond.
