The Fire Marshal's Office is investigating an early morning house fire in Brazos County.

The fire destroyed a vacant home in the 6000 block of Sunnydell.

Around 2:30 this morning, firefighters arrived at the home.

Flames were seen coming from the empty home and at one point firefighters were concerned flames would spread to trees.

That did not happen.

No one was hurt.

At least three different fire agencies worked to extinguish this fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

I too live by this street and know the owners. They were having this house remodeled and almost ready for sell. There has not been a drug raid on this house so please before you comment on something you do not know to be fact--don't do it!

I been living there for ten years and there was no drug raid I you should get your information correct because you are making our street look bad. And by the way the fire department did not get there until the whole house was on fire. And I hope that the fireman that fell down on the rocks is fine and GOD BLESS.
