Bryan House Fire
Firefighters are in investing a house fire that heavily damaged a Bryan home.
Thursday morning five fire units from Bryan and one from College Station were dispatched to the fire on the 2900 block of Hillside.
Frank Lara, Jr., a neighborhood resident, said he was driving by and saw smoke. He called 911 and then tried to control the flames until firefighters arrived.
"I grabbed a water hosed and used it on the part of the house where the flames were were at it's peak," Lara said. "And then I tried to keep the flames from hitting the other house."
When fire crews arrived smoke and flames could be seen coming from the house.
Officials say no one was in the home at the time and no injuries were reported.
