The Agency Management Services office in College Station is laying off more than 60 workers as the company relocates some of its operations to Washington State.
The local AMS office will not be shutting down according to a company official, but development, support and implementation teams for their 360 division will now be housed at AMS's headquarters in Bothell.
The headquarters also recently relocated to Bothell, which is near Seattle.
The layoffs will happen in December. An official said the local employees have been given the option to retain their jobs and move to the northwest, but that they did not expect many, if any, to leave the community.
According to their website, the company is the largest provider of insurance agency technology in the world.
