Bryan Texas Utilities hosted over one-thousand cyclists this weekend at Lake Bryan in the fourteenth annual Power Pedal Races.

Cyclists came from all over the state, and some surrounding states, to take on the challenging trails. Different level courses were made available to riders ranging from beginner to expert.

Allen Wood of BTU said, "The trails are quite extensive here at Lake Bryan. We pride ourselves on having a very technical course. For the state of Texas, since we don't have a lot of mountains, out here on the lake and levies you get a variety of terrains."

The event included a variety of events from a 10k run, to an orienteering bike race. Children also had their own their own trails to race on. The event was part of BTU's Public Power Week.
