Hispanic businesses were honored at the Briarcrest Country Club on Tuesday. The Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce co-sponsored a luncheon with the Texas A&M's Historically Underutilized Business program.
The luncheon was held to recognize hispanic businesses owners of the Brazos Valley area. Rick Villarreal was awarded the Community Impact Award for his commitment to the community.
A Ci-Ci's Pizza fanchise owner, Villarreal said he was excited to be honored by the chamber. "It's a huge honor. Fantastic, I'm just thrilled, I'm humbled more than anything. But just the recognition in itself just says a lot about not just what I do in this community but what CiCi's Pizza does in this community."
Villarreal has been a part of the Brazos Valley community for ten years.
