News 3 was among the most honored stations in the state. KBTX competes in Division 3, which consists of the next biggest television markets outside of the state's four biggest metro areas (Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin). Stations based in about a dozen Texas cities can compete in Division 3. There are four divisions in all.
KBTX would also like to congratulate our sister station, KWTX, which received four honors from TAPB. Congratulations also go to fellow CBS affiliate KHOU out of Houston, which was also one of the most honored television stations in the state.
Local radio station WTAW was also a big winner Saturday night. Our congratulations to them for pulling in the most honors of any radio station in Texas.
