Bond Set for Grimes County Shooting Suspect

Bond has been set for the 19-year-old man charged with attempted capital murder in Grimes County.

Deon Rush's bond is set for $310,000.

According to authorities, Rush was arrested Tuesday after he broke into a house and shot a man.

Police say Rush stole the victim's car, fled the scene, and was later arrested in Navasota.

Rush is also charged with burglary of a habitation, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and evading arrest.

The victim was taken to St. Joseph in Bryan for surgery.

He was listed in stable condition Wednesday evening.

The case is still under investigation.
