Some Brazos Valley residents can now be the voice for abused and neglected children.
10 Voices for Children volunteers, a group that is part of CASA of the Brazos Valley, were sworn in Friday at the Brazos County courthouse.
CASA is a non-profit organization that recruits and trains volunteers to act as advocates for children taken from their homes.
Now a judge can appoint the volunteers to a child in foster care, in order to look out for their best interest.
Last year, Voices for Children volunteers donated about 5,500 hours to CASA of the Brazos Valley.
