No arrests have been made, but three employees of the Grimes County Sheriff's Office have resigned for their alleged role in a Medicaid benefit scam. According to the Sheriff, a routine audit spurred the Office of the Inspector General to start looking into his employees' paperwork.

For two months detectives from the state have been looking into Investigator Angela Schroeder's medicade benefits application. She is now accused of tampering with government record.

Sgt. Ryan Schroeder and Sgt. Greg Eakens are being considered for acting with Mrs. Schroeder to falsify applications. The Sheriff says all three have worked for the department for more than seven years.

All possible charges will be handled by the Travis County District Attorney's office.
