Scotty's House Launches Campaign

Because of the increasing need for child services in the Brazos Valley, Scotty's House is out of room and looking to expand.

The child advocacy center launched its capital campaign on Thursday.

Land was purchased in 2005 for a new facility and now Scotty's House needs to raise $1.6 million to build the center.

To get the ball rolling, Citibank on Thursday pledged $10,000 to the project.

Last year, Scotty's House interviewed and provided support to 405 children, most of which were sexual abuse victims.

Scotty's House has provided assistance and support to 3,000 children and their families throughout our community over the past decade.
