It was a bizarre scene in downtown Bryan Tuesday afternoon, and what first looked to be a kidnapping may have just been a prank.
At around 1:15 p.m., the trunk of a Dodge Neon opened at the corner of 23rd and Texas Avenue, and a young man jumped out with his hands tied up and his mouth duct taped. The Neon and its three occupants began driving after the runner.
A Bryan Police officer in his personal vehicle pursued the individuals, eventually catching the tied up man on foot and pulling his gun on the people in the Neon.
All four reportedly claimed the whole thing was a prank, but two arrests were made on unrelated charges.
