One last round of scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms is possible in the Brazos Valley through midnight. A few storms could be strong to severe, with damaging winds & hail being a concern. An isolated, brief tornado threat cannot be ruled out. Highest potential for severe weather is over the Northeastern Corner of the Brazos Valley.
The College Station Medical Center and Brazos Valley Injury Prevention Coalition sponsored an event at Toys R Us which provided free child safety seat inspections.
Representative Fred Brown was among the peope at the event. He said there needs to be a change in child safety seat laws.
"The law that's established right now is what I passed in the last legislative session," Brown (R-District 14) said. "But it was diluted on the senate side as far as height. So we're going to go back and file another bill taking it back to 4'9" because all our trauma people all over the state have told us we need to get the height up there."
