The city of Navasota held its Third Annual City-Wide Garage Sale on Saturday. Residents across the city were able to able to hold garages sales without a permit.
The one day event was a part of Texas Recycles Day. One resident who participated in the the city-wide garage sale said it is a way to help reduce some of what makes its way to the dump.
As part of the promotion the city waived the 5-dollar permit fee. That was enough of an incentive for 58 residents to hold sales at their homes.
More Navasota citizens took part in this year's sale at the August Horst Pavilion. The city offered booth space for residents to rent to hold their garage sale.
