Girl Scouts Highest Achievement

Eleven girls from Girl Scout Troup 1505 were honored Sunday afternoon, for earning their Gold Award.

The award is the equivalent of an Eagle Scout, and was earned by the young women for working on volunteer projects with Habitat for Humanity and the Brazos Valley Animal Shelter.

As part of the requirements for receiving the prestigious award, each girl completed a 50-hour community service project.

Among those honored were : Shannon Bailey, Ann Marie Boswell, Chelsea Evans, Cassie Hanks, Kristen Junek, Courtney Kubacak, Kelsie Leopold, Morgan Leopold, Ann-Marie Morrison, Kellee Shearer, and Chelsea Trainor.

All of the girls attend A&M Consolidated High School.
