Some voters at Crockett Elementary faced problems at the polls Tuesday afternoon.
Officials say the polls were accidentally shut down. However, workers quickly transferred new equipment over to the school to get the polls back up and running.
According to officials, the shut down was due to human error.
"I don't think it was intentionally done," stated Brazos County Clerk Karen McQueen. "I think he just hit the wrong button. Once we found out we were able to get some more machines out there because we do keep some on hand. And I think I did not see the time but it was about thirty to forty-five minutes before we had them up and voting."
No one was turned away. However, about 35 to 40 people had to wait just under an hour to place their vote.
