A former Texas A&M University official, and current chancellor of Southern Illinois University, will be reassigned.
Walter Wendler faced allegations of plagiarism, when similarities between the Texas A&M Vision 2020 program, and the long term plan for Southern Illinois surfaced.
A tenured professor in architecture, Wendler will be reassigned to SIU's College Applied Sciences and Arts.
Wendler's contract, set to expire next June, won't be renewed.
SIU president Glenn Poshard chose Provost John Dunn to temporarily succeed Wendler.
Dunn's appointment takes effect November 15th.
