What started as an attempted traffic stop, turned into a high speed chase, and ended with a wreck.
A state trooper tried to a stop a vehicle eastbound on Highway 21 about 7:45 p.m., Sunday. The driver took off, and police pursued.
The pursuit reached speeds of more than 100 miles an hour before the driver wrecked at the intersection of Highway 21 and Highway 47, west of Bryan.
Authorities say the driver, whose identity has not been released, sustained injuries to his face and shoulder, and may have a broken arm.
It's not known why the driver ran from the trooper. Criminal charges are pending.
