Almost one year after the crime, the body of a Hearne murder victim may be exhumed.

Robertson County District Attorney John Paschal tells News 3 the lack of forensic evidence in the Hank Johnson murder case has forced him to consider digging up the body. That could take place in the next 30 days. Investigators hope that DNA still on the body could point them to the murderer. Something both the DA and Hanks mother want to see happen.

We first met Hank Johnson's mother, Sandi Johnson shortly after her son died. Then, this grieving mother felt the need to visit the place where her son lived while he was working in Hearne...the same place where he was brutally attacked.

Sandi Johnson says, "A lot has happened in a year and it's not all good things...it's been mixed with emotions, fears, heartache, heartbreak. There's been a hole in our hearts."

Since placing that single rose at the crime scene, Sandi Johnson has been on a single mission.

"I want to know what's happened. It's unsolved, you know and that's the hard part, it's the unsolved part," says Johnson.

Johnson wants to know who murdered her son and she believes authorities will be closer to finding out who killed Hank when his body is re-examined.

Hank's mother has always said there was evidence beneath his fingernails and in a photo taken before his funeral, she says you can definitely see there's something beneath his nails and now authorities are going to have a second chance to see for themselves.

Paschal says the reason Johnson's body has to be exhumed is because Hearne Police failed to collect forensic evidence at the crime scene.

Police say Johnson was beaten to death. The D-A's office says they have person's of interest, but no evidence. Meantime, Houston and Robertston Crime Stoppers are offering rewards totaling $6,000 for information leading to an arrest.

My son performed to 12,000 people. He was and still is a Star. He had more talent in his little finger than most people have in a life time. He peformed as many characters 6 shows a weekend. 12 shows a weekend. 3 shows a weekend. two shows in the same day 100 miles apart to entertain the children. And many disablitiy children, for 98 mayors for the mayor of deer Park at the San Jacinto Monument with World Star Yogi Baird the Worlds only Fiddle Contortionist. With Black Group at the Wortham Theater Seshaba from South Africa. With Rick Campbell Glen Cambells nephew. With Johnny Lee "Looking For Love" No 1 hit. He hired people for the shows and he fired people in the shows who did not show love for the children. He recorded on Moon-Star Records and Worth Records and West Records from Nashville. He was in the major studios since he was 7 years old. He recorded his own album Product of America, "MY LIFE" with a guitar solo still popular today. Kids/parents see tv lately and cry!

Robertson County still has an unsolved murder says Da s Investigator Brian Bancroft. It is one of those murders that will never be solved. Not even if they find evidence under Hank Alan Johnson's bloody Nails? How do they know? Unless the murderers have already confessed. Unless they know more than they are telling. But Why> Is it the Da's brother in law holding it up in the police report of Hank Johnson's. Or does someone else know the truth? Do you?

My son has not been exumed yet. Why? Now they say they want a meeting before they exume my son. Now the ball is in your court the DA's office said. Is this a game?
