A Navasota girl was killed and her sister was critically injured after being thrown from a vehicle Monday in Washington County.
The accident happened at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Highway 105 and FM 1155.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the driver of a Chevy Lumina ignored a stop sign and struck a Ford Expedition, causing it to roll several times.
Two girls, Cindy Villegas, 7, and Edith Villegas, 4, were ejected from the SUV.
Cindy was pronounced dead at the scene. Her sister, Edith, was air lifted to Hermann Hospital in Houston, where she was last listed in critical condition. Neither was wearing their seat belt.
Three others were injured in the accident.
